The Department has a total of 180 beds including General Pediatrics, Pediatric Emergency services and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is housed on the 4th floor in Trauma centre. It has 20 beds 15 equipped with ventilators and all 20 with multipara monitors for intensive care in children. It also has an ultrasound machine.
The Pediatric emergency ward is located on the 4th floor of Trauma centre. Pediatric emergency services are provided round the clock in this ward with facilities for outpatient care as well as inpatient admissions. The emergency ward has bed strength of 47 beds.
The Department of Neonatology has the Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU) with total 52 NICU beds including level III (19 ventilators), step down and rooming in beds and 10 level II care beds in Queen Mary's Hospital (Neonatal Unit). The NICU is located on the 4th floor of Trauma centre. A neonatal follow up clinic is held in O.P.D. on Wednesdays. All the neonates born in Queen Mary's Hospital are looked after by the faculty and residents of Department of Pediatrics.
The Pediatric Oncology Unit has a bed strength of 52 beds, including a Day care centre. Pediatric Oncology services are provided to children afflicted with all types of childhood cancer.
