Canteens at KGMU Campus
King George's Medical University (KGMU) provides a range of canteen and cafeteria options across its campus to cater to the diverse needs of students, staff, patients, and visitors. All food outlets are fully functional and ensure hygienic, freshly prepared food at affordable prices. The following canteens are currently operational on campus:
• 1905 Canteen: Located behind the Trauma Centre, this is one of the prominent canteens on campus and is popular among students, faculty, and staff for its wide variety of food options served in a clean and spacious environment.
• Central Library Cafeteria: Situated adjacent to the Central Library, this cafeteria primarily serves undergraduate and postgraduate students. It offers quick snacks, meals, and beverages in a relaxed setting, ideal for breaks during study hours.
• CV Hostel Canteen (Nescafe Outlet): Positioned near the CV Hostel, this outlet is mainly frequented by hostel residents and students. It offers beverages, light snacks, and packaged food items, functioning as a quick grab-and-go option.
• Mohini Canteen: Located near the MRI building, Mohini Canteen is a well-known spot on campus serving a variety of meals and refreshments. It is accessible to allstudents, faculty, staff, and hospital visitors alike.
• New OPD Block Tea Stall: This small tea stall serves patients, their attendants, and hospital staff. Conveniently located within the New OPD Block, it provides tea, coffee, and light snacks throughout the day.
• Registrar Office Tea Stall: Situated at the back of the Registrar Office, this tea stall is a go-to place for students and staff for short tea breaks and light refreshments.
All these canteens contribute to the vibrant campus life at KGMU by ensuring easy access to clean and wholesome food. The university remains committed to maintaining hygiene standards and providing nutritious options to support the well-being of its community.
