On the request of Prof. Dhavendra Kumar, Consultant in Clinical Genetics, Institute of
Medical Genetics, University Hospital of Wales, Health Park, Cardiff, UK, a award “The
Professor Dhavendra Kumar Young Investigator Gold Medal” has been instituted in the
University since 2012 for excellence in clinical and applied research as adjudged by his/her
